About Our Society

The Pittsburgh Rose Society is a component of the American Rose Society and is part of the Penn-Jersey District. The Pittsburgh Rose Society, founded in 1949, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the art, science, and practice of growing roses in Western Pennsylvania.

The Society holds various events during the year. Please Check our Events Listing for a complete year of activities. Also follow this link for information
about our next event and directions to the location.

The Pittsburgh Rose Society is actively in cooperation with the  Garden Club of McKeesport helping to maintain the Renziehausen Park Rose Garden. This is one of the premier rose gardens in Pennsylvania and the largest rose garden west of Hershey, PA. Vote in the top ten public rose gardens in the United States, this
garden was one of the 130 plus AARS-accredited public rose gardens--the AARS no longer is a functioning organization.  You will find information at our Renzie Page.

If you have any questions about these roses send them along to us at the "contact us" page or call one of our Consulting Rosarians.

You may also send any comments or questions to our Web Master at
