The Pittsburgh Rose Society is a component of the American Rose Society and is part of the Penn-Jersey District. The Pittsburgh Rose Society, founded in 1949, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the art, science, and practice of growing roses in Western Pennsylvania.
The Society holds various events during the year. Please Check our Events Listing for a complete year of activities information.
The Garden Club of McKeesport maintains the Renziehausen Park Rose Garden. This is one of the premier rose gardens in Pennsylvania and the largest rose garden west of Hershey, PA. Voted in the top ten public rose gardens in the United States, this
garden was one of the 130 plus AARS-accredited public rose gardens--the AARS no longer is a functioning organization. Many of our members volunteer at the garden's Wednesday workdays starting in April till late fall. You will find additional information at our Renziehausen Park Page.
