Entry for March 26, 2007
Pruning season has arrived. The forsythia is budding and should be in bloom within a few days. One of the best ways to learn the techniques of pruning rose bushes is to come to one, or both, of the annual pruning demonstrations at Renzie Park. This year these are scheduled on April 15 and 22 starting at 1:00 PM. These events serve two purposes. First, it is a chance for anyone interested in learning rose care to be involved in actual bush pruning. At the same time our members and guests complete one of the garden’s most labor intense chores. Come on over. As with all our events there will be plenty of things to eat. If you want to learn more about pruning, want to help the rose garden, or just want to “work for food”, come on over. 2007-03-26 12:47:22 GMT
