Now that Memorial Day is near, the roses in Western Pennsylvania are looking pretty good.  One word of caution,  our rainfall is below average for this spring.  Currently, according to the US Weather Service, we are -1.3 inches below average for the month.  This means we need to check our roses closely to assure that they are getting enough water.  Personally, I have deep watered my beds once this week and will probably do it again over the week-end unless we get the predicted rain.
