The Renzie Picnic and Mini rose show has passed.  We had a good turn out.  Forty-one people signed in for the event.  The food, as always, was excellent.  The highlight of the day was the judging demonstrations moderated by Father Gervase and Dick Oberlander, with help from John Consigliero.  This interactive presentation allowed novices and experienced members to actually hear the thought processes that go into picking the winners in a rose show.  And how to groom roses even if they only go into our own vases on the kitchen table.
