The summer weather will be slipping soon but now we are having unusually warm weather.  It doesn’t seem as if the cold of winter will come but it will.  I have started to stockpile mulch –I get partially decomposed wood chips from our local township recycle center.  When time comes I will only have to make a short haul to the bushes from the pile. There are lots of options in Western Pennsylvania to get your roses through the winter.  Our next meeting will address this issue.  If you have questions about winterizing your roses please plan to attend our next meeting.  That will be at Holy Rosary Social Hall on Sunday, October 14, at 2:00 pm.
